SBI Clerk Exam Analysis 2026 Shift 1 (26 Sept): Good Attempts 72-83

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Analysis 2026 for Shift 1 is out for candidates who appeared in the State Bank of India Clerk examination on 26 September 2026. SBI is conducting the SBI Clerk Exam 2026 on 26 and 27 September 2026 in four shifts per day to fill 9766 vacancies for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales) across various branches. Shift 1 was held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by Shift 2 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Shift 3 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and Shift 4 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Based on candidate feedback, the overall difficulty level of SBI Clerk Shift 1 was easy to moderate, with English Language rated easy and both Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability rated easy to moderate. Overall good attempts for Shift 1 are 72 to 83, including 24 to 27 in English Language, 22 to 26 in Numerical Ability and 26 to 28 in Reasoning Ability. The online Prelims exam has 100 questions for 100 marks, with 30 questions from English Language and 35 each from Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability, to be completed in 60 minutes with 20 minutes for each section, and a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every incorrect answer. The English section featured a reading comprehension on a cricketer named Ken, para jumbles, word swap and error detection, while Numerical Ability covered simplification, table and line-graph data interpretation and simple arithmetic. Reasoning included box-based and month-based puzzles, syllogism, inequalities, direction distance and word series.
