- Shortlisting for DV RRB-wise at the rate of 1:1 of the vacancies, based on merit in CBT
- Normalisation of marks for CBTs held in multiple shifts
- Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS 40%, OBC(NCL) & SC 30%, ST 25% (relaxable by 2 marks for PwBD in case of shortage)
- Tie-break: older candidate first, then alphabetical order of given name
