The Staff Selection Commission has released the notice for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2026, commonly known as SSC CPO SI 2026. A total of 1871 tentative vacancies have been announced, covering 205 posts of Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police for male candidates, 112 posts of Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police for female candidates, 1320 posts of Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs including CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF and SSB, and 234 posts of Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF. All posts carry a pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400 to Rs.1,12,400).

- SI (FIRE) in CISF: 18-30 years (born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008)
- Departmental candidates of Delhi Police: up to 30 years (UR/EWS), 33 years (OBC), 35 years (SC/ST) with minimum 3 years’ service
- Age relaxation as per rules (see table)

9. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- SI in Delhi Police & SI (GD) in CAPFs: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent
- SI (Fire): Bachelor’s degree in science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR Matriculation and three years diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobiles, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
- Qualification must be held on or before the closing date of receipt of applications

- PST/PET are qualifying in nature; Ex-Servicemen are not required to undergo PET.
- NCC certificate holders get bonus marks: ‘C’ – 5%, ‘B’ – 3%, ‘A’ – 2% of maximum marks in each paper.
